The Turning Star Ceremony – A Full Moon Work for Luck
Albina begins this work with a wheel of chance drawn in ash and nettle dust. Each spoke of the wheel is inscribed with old symbols for favor, fortune, and escape from fate. The Coven moves clockwise around the circle, invoking Fortuna—not as a game of chance, but as a guide of divine openings. This is a work to reset the odds, to unbind the snares of “bad luck” that come not from missteps, but from unseen tangles of energy or ancestral repetition.
A mirror is placed at the center of the circle, reflecting the moon. Into it, Albina speaks the name of the seeker and marks the mirror with a drop of consecrated oil. “Let the reflection shift,” she says. “Let the tides return. What was blocked now bends. What was crooked now realigns.” Golden thistle and star anise are burned, calling in serendipity, harmonious timing, and divine interruption. Luck becomes not a gamble, but a frequency.
After the spell, a silver charm - blessed under moonlight - is passed through each hand of the circle, imprinting the pattern of the Turning Star. When worn or carried, this charm continues the shift begun in ceremony. The recipient may notice more synchronous encounters, near-misses turning into perfect landings, or obstacles mysteriously dissolving. The wheel has turned.
